Our vision

Our vision is a group of schools where every child achieves his/her potential through a relentless focus on high quality teaching and learning. Ensuring all children make good or better progress in reading, writing and numeracy is our core purpose. All staff consistently and energetically use the most effective methods for teaching these basic skills. High quality training, from leading experts in literacy and numeracy teaching, equips them to do so.

Underpinning this is:

- first-rate systems for tracking, identifying and celebrating children’s progress;

- an exciting, relevant and inspiring curriculum;

Classrooms are vibrant, supportive and welcoming. They are full of children motivated by positive, well-paced and purposeful lessons. And these lessons are delivered by staff that are passionate about the children’s success.

Through the Best Start Federation parents and carers have access to a greater range of services – both for their children and for themselves. Every parent/carer feels proud of their child’s/children’s achievements – and knows exactly what these are. Clear guidance is given about the best ways to support children with learning out of school. The schools work in partnership, building ever-increasing capacity so they achieve more than one school ever could as a single institution.

All of this is done because, in these schools, the children and their education matter more than anything else. Every child has the best possible start.
